Boko Haram Won't Humiliate The Army Again -

Lt-Gen Kenneth Minimah, the Chief of Army Staff
(COAS), promised that the Nigerian military
would never again suffer humiliating loss of
towns to Boko Haram insurgents.

This comes amid official reports that the troops have
cleared Yobe state of the terrorists and routed them
from Bama, Borno state
.
Minimah made a claim on March 16, Monday, in
Abuja during the 2015 First Quarter COA Conference,
Thisday reports.
Apart from providing the information about the army
activities, the official said that they would also use the
opportunity to finalize preparation for security
towards the upcoming elections.
Minimah added that the conference would project
the long- and short-term goals for army’s further
development.
He characterized the recent period of military activity
as eventful and said that the induction of new
equipment, the training of soldiers on the new
equipment and improved welfare of soldiers,
pleaded successful.
“These measures have added impetus to our
operational posture and contributed immensely to
our current exploits in the ongoing military
operations against the Boko Haram terrorists in the
North eastern States especially Adamawa, Borno,
Yobe, Bauchi and Gombe states.”
